Who you are
You have a strong understanding of category management and merchandising strategies, with experience in supporting product assortments that resonate with customers. Your analytical skills allow you to assess product relevance and financial performance effectively, ensuring that the assortment aligns with both national brands and private labels. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve category goals.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage with suppliers and stakeholders effectively. Your organizational abilities help you manage logistics for key events, ensuring smooth execution of supplier meetings and product reviews. You are detail-oriented, maintaining accurate records and documentation to support category strategies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support the development of category, merchandising, promotional, and pricing strategies. You will assist in category assortment planning, conducting supplier line reviews and assortment analysis to ensure a strong product mix. Collaborating with various teams, you will help translate assortment plans into actionable merchandising strategies, contributing to the overall success of the category.
You will plan and execute logistics for key events, including supplier meetings and sampling events, ensuring that all necessary preparations are in place. Your role will also involve maintaining a list of supplier contacts and facilitating communication as needed, helping to foster strong relationships with suppliers.
