Who you are

You have 3-4 years of relevant experience in apparel buying, planning, or merchandising, and you understand the intricacies of inventory management and e-commerce. You are a graduate from NIFT or another reputed institution, bringing a strong analytical mindset and a customer-centric approach to your work. Your proficiency in MS Excel and data analytics allows you to make informed decisions that drive category performance. You are creative and possess a problem-solving mindset, enabling you to identify gaps in product offerings and onboard new brands effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with category managers and brand partners to establish Myntra as the preferred destination for customers.

Desirable

While not mandatory, experience in e-commerce will be beneficial. A willingness to learn and innovate is essential, as is the ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work closely with the Category Manager to drive business growth in your assigned category. You will manage intake and open-to-buy (OTB) processes, monitoring inventory situations and planning timely returns to vendors. Your responsibilities will include making season-level buy plans and assortment plans based on past performance and revenue targets to ensure that the category is well represented. You will review style-level performance using metrics such as return on sales (ROS), sell-through rates, and revenue per item (RPI). Additionally, you will plan category visibility interventions, including timely banner requests for respective brands. You will also manage pricing strategies, ensuring timely discounts and internal pricing control according to planned gross margin and revenue goals. As a bridge between brands and internal teams, you will facilitate effective communication and operational excellence in merchandising operations, inbound planning, cataloguing, and discount monitoring.
