Who you are
You have a strong background in capacity planning and operations management, with a focus on using data to drive practical solutions that impact business outcomes. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working with large datasets to solve complex problems. Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational capacity aligns with weekly and daily plans. You are detail-oriented and analytical, capable of identifying gaps in capacity versus plans and working proactively to address them.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively liaise with various teams within the organization, including transportation and fulfillment centers. You are comfortable analyzing operational metrics and making data-driven decisions to optimize delivery station performance. Your ability to navigate ambiguity and tackle challenges head-on makes you a valuable asset to any team.
Desirable
Experience in logistics or supply chain management is a plus, as is familiarity with operational metrics and performance indicators. A background in data analysis or experience with analytical tools would enhance your ability to succeed in this role.
What you'll do
As a Capacity Scheduling Specialist, you will monitor operational volumes and collaborate with AMZL teams to ensure that delivery stations meet their operational capacity goals. You will analyze capacity gaps and work with execution teams to eliminate them, optimizing the volume handled by delivery stations. Your role will involve investigating deviations from critical planning assumptions, such as package counts per route and average package sizes, and making necessary adjustments to improve operational efficiency.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing capacity plans that align with seasonal peaks and operational demands. This includes conducting thorough analyses of operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement. You will also participate in regular meetings with cross-functional teams to discuss capacity planning strategies and ensure alignment across the organization.
