What you'll do

As the Chief Engineer for DCEO, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and that any issues are addressed swiftly to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with various teams across AWS to implement best practices and innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

You will lead a team of engineers and specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure that all safety protocols are followed. Your role will involve regular assessments of equipment performance and the implementation of improvements where necessary. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation related to operational procedures and safety standards.

In addition to technical oversight, you will play a key role in strategic planning for future infrastructure needs, working closely with supply chain specialists to anticipate and address potential challenges. Your insights will help shape the direction of AWS infrastructure services, ensuring that we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
