Who you are

You have experience in Critical Infrastructure Commissioning, particularly in data centers, and understand the complexities involved in ensuring operational efficiency. You are skilled in managing expectations and quality standards in accordance with engineering designs, ensuring that customer requirements are met. You possess a strong technical background and are comfortable working with various systems including medium and low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, and building management systems. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. You are detail-oriented and can lead Factory Witness Testing and perform system-level testing effectively. You are committed to delivering the best results for customers and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable

Experience with electrical power monitoring systems and chilled water systems is a plus. Familiarity with testing and balancing, as well as pumps and hydronic systems, will enhance your ability to contribute to the team.

What you'll do

As a Commissioning Engineer at Amazon, you will be part of a creative and efficient team focused on the construction and commissioning of AWS data centers. You will support various teams involved in the construction process, ensuring that all systems are installed and functioning according to specifications. Your responsibilities will include developing test scripts, scheduling, and planning projects to ensure timely completion. You will review component submittal packages and lead Factory Witness Testing to validate system performance. During the commissioning phase, you will conduct system-level and integrated system testing, continuously monitoring for quality and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with contractors and vendors, providing multi-discipline input to enhance project outcomes. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the high standards expected of AWS facilities, contributing to the overall success of the operations.
