Job Description
Who you are
You have a solid background in workplace health and safety, demonstrating the ability to partner effectively with site operations teams to execute safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. Your experience includes leveraging lean principles and kaizens to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing conditional and ergonomic risks in processes. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey clear, concise, and consistent messages both verbally and in writing. You are adept at building trust and confidence with operations teams, influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
You have a strong understanding of safety programs and relevant safety, environmental, and ergonomic knowledge, which you apply effectively when collaborating with operations. Your leadership skills enable you to guide a team of safety specialists, coordinators, and first aid associates, creating and executing development plans for your team members. You are committed to identifying best practices and incorporating them into safety standards to continuously improve company safety policies.
Desirable
Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment is a plus, as is familiarity with safety regulations specific to the logistics and warehousing industry. A background in training and instructing operations leaders in safety policies will enhance your effectiveness in this position.
What you'll do
