Who you are
You have a strong background in workplace health and safety, demonstrating the ability to partner effectively with site operations teams to execute safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. Your expertise in safety programs and ergonomic knowledge allows you to lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing risks in the workplace. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey clear and concise messages to the Operations Team and influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis. You are adept at instructing and training Operations Leaders in company safety policies, ensuring that safety standards are effectively incorporated into site operations. Your ability to build trust and confidence with team members is crucial in fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
Desirable
Experience in leading safety teams and developing leadership plans for safety associates is a plus. Familiarity with lean principles and kaizen methodologies will enhance your ability to drive continuous improvement in safety practices.
What you'll do
As a WHS Officer at Amazon, you will be responsible for partnering with the site operations team in a Sort Center to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations. You will also be responsible for instructing and training Operations Leaders in safety policies, assisting site teams in implementing safety standards, and leading a team of safety specialists and coordinators. Your effective communication skills will be essential in conveying safety messages and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.
