Amazon is seeking a Sub Regional EHS Manager II to lead workplace health and safety initiatives. You'll drive safety compliance and operational excellence in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and technical expertise in safety management.

Who you are

You have a strong background in workplace health and safety management, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise in safety compliance and risk assessment allows you to effectively analyze safety data and implement practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity. You possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to build relationships and influence positive change within the organization. Your analytical mindset transforms safety data into actionable insights, and you are passionate about creating a culture of safety excellence. You are a proactive leader who thrives in collaborative environments, working closely with operations leadership to drive safety initiatives that make a real difference.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-paced environment, particularly in logistics or manufacturing, is a plus. Familiarity with safety management systems and compliance regulations will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A certification in occupational health and safety or a related field would be beneficial, as would any experience with emergency response planning.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the site’s safety champion, leading the implementation of Amazon's Global WHS Program. You will conduct comprehensive risk assessments and site audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Your responsibilities will include analyzing incident trends to identify areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance workplace safety. You will manage the first aid program and emergency response capabilities, ensuring that immediate care is always available. Collaborating with operations leadership, you will drive safety initiatives that align with Amazon's mission to create the world's safest work environment. Your ability to engage associates in safety practices will be crucial as you help shape the safety culture at the site. You will also be responsible for reporting safety metrics and providing insights to senior management to support continuous improvement efforts.
