Who you are
You have a strong background in security and compliance, with a broad understanding of the regulatory landscape and cloud technologies. You are a problem-solver and quick-study, capable of navigating complex security requirements and frameworks. Your experience includes working with security compliance frameworks such as ISM, PSPF, DSPF, and NIST, which you have implemented in previous roles to enhance security postures.
You possess excellent collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with internal teams and customers to establish security baselines and requirements. Your ability to create and optimize cross-functional working groups demonstrates your commitment to enhancing security efficiency and effectiveness across organizations. You are also adept at developing thought leadership material on cloud and emerging technologies, contributing to the overall security strategy.
What you'll do
As a GRC Specialist at AWS Security, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assurance and authorization activities related to designated components within the cloud capability. Your responsibilities will include performing assurance activities to ensure compliance with established standards and protocols. You will collaborate with various internal teams and customers to define security controls and objectives, ensuring that security requirements are met across the organization.
You will implement security compliance frameworks into design and build baselines, working closely with teams to achieve the desired security posture. Your role will involve creating and supporting cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing security practices and efficiency. You will utilize your domain expertise to contribute to the development of thought leadership materials, sharing insights on cloud technologies and security best practices.
