You are an entry-level technician eager to start your career in data center operations. You have a foundational understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and you're excited to learn from experienced professionals in a fast-paced environment. You possess strong technical writing skills, which will help you document processes and support change management initiatives. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure systems.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment. Your role will involve monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS) to ensure optimal performance. You will assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events, ensuring that all issues are resolved within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). Additionally, you will be responsible for performing rack installs and decommissioning, as well as conducting preventive maintenance and root cause analysis on various equipment. Your technical writing skills will be utilized to support documentation and change management processes.
