What you'll do
As a Data Center Operation Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems within the data center. You will ensure that all equipment is operational 99.9% of the time, addressing any issues that arise promptly. Your role will involve performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on critical systems, including backup generators, UPS systems, and HVAC units.
You will serve as a technical resource for Amazon, providing support and expertise in the operation of data center equipment. You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs through innovative solutions. In the event of electrical or mechanical issues, you will be the first responder, working to resolve problems quickly to maintain service availability.
