Job Description
Who you are
You are a fully cleared Data Center Technician with a strong understanding of IT principles, including computer architecture and the OSI model. You thrive in a hands-on environment and are comfortable engaging in physical data center activities, such as rack deployment and hardware troubleshooting. You possess the ability to lift and move materials up to 49 pounds and can work in cramped or elevated locations without limitation. Your experience allows you to effectively troubleshoot a range of data center infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, and networking problems.
You are a US Citizen and currently hold an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. You understand the importance of maintaining one of the world's largest information system infrastructures and are committed to ensuring its reliability and performance. You are adaptable and can work shifts longer than 8 hours, demonstrating your dedication to the role and the team.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for resolving and troubleshooting various data center infrastructure issues. Your key responsibilities will include planning and tracking capacity, deploying racks, cabling, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems. You will engage in physical activities that may require bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, as well as standing and walking for extended periods. Your role will also involve working in a noisy environment and ensuring safety while ascending and descending ladders and gangways.
You will collaborate with a diverse team to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the data center operations. Your contributions will directly impact the performance of the infrastructure, and you will play a vital role in supporting the teamβs goals. You will be expected to communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise promptly.
What we offer
Amazon offers a competitive starting pay range of $33.00 - $58.00 USD hourly, based on experience and qualifications.
