You are a motivated individual with a strong interest in data center operations and infrastructure management. You possess hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can apply your technical skills to solve complex problems. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with diverse groups of engineers and specialists to ensure the highest standards of safety and security in data center operations.
You have a solid understanding of critical facilities equipment, including diesel generators, UPS systems, and building automation systems. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence enable you to perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks effectively. You are willing to work 24/7 shifts, including rotating schedules, to ensure continuous operation of the data center.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Critical Facilities Technician, you will be on the front lines of AWS infrastructure operations, responding to equipment issues and performing hands-on troubleshooting. You will operate and maintain critical systems, ensuring that all electrical and mechanical equipment functions optimally. Your role will involve monitoring system performance, conducting routine inspections, and implementing preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime.
You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and specialists, sharing insights and best practices to enhance operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will also include documenting maintenance activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes. You will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and safety of AWS data centers, ensuring that customers have uninterrupted access to cloud services.
