You are a motivated individual with a strong interest in technology and data centers. You possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Your organizational skills and effective communication are critical to your success in this role. You are physically capable of meeting the demands of the job, including lifting and moving equipment as necessary. You are willing to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when needed.
Desirable
Experience with hardware and network diagnostics is a plus, as well as familiarity with data center operations. A background in IT support or related fields would be beneficial, but not required. You are eager to learn and innovate solutions to improve data center efficiency and reliability.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Technician at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity of our data centers. Your responsibilities will include performing hardware and network diagnostics, executing physical repairs, and installing equipment. You will create documentation for processes and solutions, ensuring that all operations meet or exceed defined service levels. You will also be involved in troubleshooting issues and innovating solutions to enhance the overall performance of the data center. Your role will require you to prioritize tasks effectively and react quickly to any operational challenges that arise.
