Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in data engineering with experience in building data pipelines and data models that support analytics and machine learning use cases. You are proficient in AWS data technologies and have hands-on experience with tools like EMR, Glue, S3, Kinesis, Athena, and Redshift. Your expertise in programming languages such as Python and Scala allows you to design and implement efficient data processing solutions. You understand the importance of data quality and have implemented frameworks to ensure pipeline reliability. You are comfortable working independently and managing medium-sized data projects from design through release.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery of data pipelines that process terabytes of transportation data daily. You will collaborate with data consumers, including analysts and scientists, to understand their requirements and deliver the best results for our customers. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing data models that enable analytics and reporting, as well as building data pipelines using Spark and AWS technologies. You will also be tasked with monitoring data quality and ensuring the reliability of the data pipelines you create. Your work will have a direct financial impact on network efficiency and customer satisfaction, as you contribute to the foundation of Amazon's outbound transportation network.
