Job Description
Who you are
You have 4+ years of experience performing quantitative analysis, ideally in an internet environment with large, complex data sources. Your analytical thinking and metrics-driven decision-making skills enable you to solve problems effectively, and you are comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-paced global team. You are an expert in data modeling, ETL design, and business intelligence tools, and you relish the challenge of working with large volumes of data. Your hands-on experience with big data technologies and frameworks, such as Hive and Spark, sets you apart.
You are proficient in writing performant SQL and have experience with near real-time analytics. Your familiarity with scripting languages like Python and Perl enhances your ability to build robust data solutions. You are passionate about data and analytics, and you enjoy partnering with the business to identify strategic opportunities that create significant business impact.
Desirable
Experience with AWS technologies such as EMR, SNS, SQS, Lambda, and Kinesis Firehose is a plus. Familiarity with data infrastructure improvements and their business implications will help you excel in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will engineer big data solutions that take data models to the next generation. You will build real-time data analytical platforms using various big data tools and AWS technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing ETL processes, optimizing data models, and ensuring data quality across large-scale datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges, driving improvements in data infrastructure that lead to outsized business impact.
