Who you are

You have 4+ years of experience performing quantitative analysis, preferably for an Internet company with large, complex data sources. Your hands-on experience with big data technologies and frameworks, such as Hive, Spark, and Hadoop, sets you apart. You are proficient in SQL on Big Data and have experience with near real-time analytics. Your familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Perl enhances your ability to manipulate and analyze data effectively.

You possess a solid analytical mindset and are driven by metrics-based decision-making. You relish the challenge of working with large volumes of data and enjoy solving complex technical problems. Your expertise in data modeling, ETL design, and business intelligence tools allows you to identify strategic opportunities that can lead to significant business impact. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with ambiguity, always paying careful attention to detail.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of engineering big data solutions that take data models to the next generation. You will build real-time data analytical platforms using AWS technologies like Spark, EMR, SNS, SQS, Lambda, and Kinesis Firehose. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities for improvement in data infrastructure and developing solutions that meet the growing worldwide need for data analytics.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the data solutions you create are scalable and efficient. Your role will involve designing and implementing data pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring data quality. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge of best practices in data engineering.
