Who you are
You are a creative and innovative Design Manager with a strong background in overseeing design projects, particularly in tenant improvement and workplace design. With experience in managing design teams and collaborating with architects, you ensure that projects align with the latest design standards and meet client needs. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including construction managers and design partners.
You have a deep understanding of design principles and are proficient in tools like AutoCAD and Adobe XD. Your ability to produce visuals and narratives helps convey design concepts clearly to stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering high-quality results that enhance user experiences.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the design of new build and significant retrofit tenant improvement projects within Amazon's India portfolio. You will oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that all projects reflect Amazon's Basis of Design (BoD) and meet the needs of customers. You will collaborate closely with the Design & Construction team, the Workplace Guidelines & Standards team, and various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing design partners and architects, reviewing design proposals, and providing feedback to ensure alignment with project goals. You will also work with the India Preconstruction and Construction Managers to coordinate project timelines and deliverables. Once projects are completed, you will collaborate with the Workplace Guidelines & Standards team to integrate successful design elements into future guidelines.
