Job Description

Who you are

You have 2+ years of systems development experience, particularly in EDI integrations and custom map development. Your hands-on experience with API development and various integration standards makes you a strong candidate for this role. You possess proven problem-solving skills and can effectively communicate with both technical and business teams. Your leadership abilities allow you to coordinate efforts across multiple teams, ensuring smooth operations in a 24/7 production environment.

You are familiar with EDI mapping software implementations such as Gentran, Sterling, or Contivo, and have experience with integration protocols like AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS. Your technical expertise is complemented by your ability to manage communication across different time zones, making you adept at handling operational defect management for high-volume EDI and API traffic.

What you'll do

As an EDI Engineer at Amazon, you will partner with business teams and global partners to identify new offerings and improve the EDI integration process. Your responsibilities will include maintaining Amazon's EDI specifications, mapping, and partner configurations. You will also provide operational support and contribute to new implementation development, ensuring that the EDI technical standards are upheld. Your role will require you to participate in rotating on-call duties, addressing any operational defects that arise in a timely manner.

You will work closely with various teams to enhance the effectiveness of our processes, leveraging your technical skills to identify integration solutions that meet business needs. Your ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders will be key to your success in this role. You will continuously seek ways to improve data quality and the overall EDI integration experience for our partners.
