Job Description
Who you are
You have 4+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems, with a strong focus on EDI standards such as EDIFACT and ANSI X12. Your background includes working in a 24/7 online environment, where you have handled real-time live-system responsibilities and rotational on-call duties. You possess a mastery of EDI communications standards and protocols, including AS2, SFTP, and HTTPS, which are essential for maintaining effective EDI transactions.
Your analytical and communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to coordinate efforts across multiple teams, both technical and business-oriented. You have demonstrated experience in writing functional design documents and troubleshooting complex EDI failures, showcasing your ability to maintain high data quality and integration processes. Your leadership skills enable you to partner effectively with Amazon business teams and global partners to identify new offerings and continuously improve EDI solutions.
Desirable
Experience with EDI software implementations is a plus, as it enhances your capability to deliver the best results for our customers. Familiarity with mapping and supplier configurations will also be beneficial in this role.
What you'll do
As an EDI Engineer at Amazon, you will play a critical role in automating transactions with our global partners. You will maintain the EDI technical standards and identify EDI solutions that meet business needs. Your responsibilities will include improving the effectiveness of our EDI communications and ensuring that our EDI specifications are up to date.
