Amazon is hiring an EDI Engineer for their Transportation Technology team to automate transactions with global partners. You'll work with integration standards and EDI mapping software to enhance data quality and process effectiveness. This role requires 2+ years of systems development experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 2+ years of systems development experience and a solid understanding of EDI integration processes. Your experience includes working with common integration standards and protocols such as AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, and API/OAuth. You are familiar with EDI mapping software implementations like Gentran, Sterling, or Contivo, and have knowledge of EDIFACT standards, including documents such as IFTMIN and INVOIC.
Your problem-solving skills are proven, and you excel in communication and leadership, allowing you to coordinate efforts across multiple teams effectively. You thrive in a 24/7 production environment and are comfortable managing communication across different time zones. You are also prepared to participate in rotating on-call duties and operational defect management for high-volume EDI and API traffic.
What you'll do
As an EDI Engineer at Amazon, you will partner with business teams and global partners to identify new offerings and continuously improve the EDI integration process. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the Amazon EDI specifications, mapping, and partner configurations. You will play a critical role in automating transactions and enhancing the effectiveness of our processes, ensuring high data quality.
You will work closely with both technical and business teams to identify integration solutions that meet business needs. Your role will involve operational support as well as new implementation development, requiring you to stay engaged with the latest EDI technical standards. You will be instrumental in driving improvements in our EDI processes, contributing to the overall success of the Transportation EDI team.
