You are eager to learn and develop your skills in a hands-on environment, particularly in the field of electrical engineering. You have a keen interest in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, and you are excited about the opportunity to work with critical systems that power data centres. You are adaptable and ready to support emergency response procedures when required, demonstrating your commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Desirable

While not required, any prior experience or coursework related to electrical systems or engineering principles would be beneficial. A basic understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) would also be a plus, as it will help you monitor facility performance effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take part in the day-to-day operations of data centre electrical systems, ensuring they function smoothly and efficiently. You will carry out routine maintenance checks on critical power equipment, which is essential for maintaining operational reliability. Monitoring and operating electrical distribution systems safely will be a key responsibility, allowing you to develop your technical skills in a real-world setting. You will learn to operate and interpret Building Management Systems (BMS), which are crucial for monitoring facility performance and ensuring optimal operation. Additionally, you will assist in conducting equipment testing and maintenance activities, gaining valuable hands-on experience that will serve as a foundation for your engineering career.
