Amazon is hiring an Escalation Specialist to manage facility engineering and controls activities. You'll work with industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting. This position requires hands-on experience with various electrical components.
Job Description
Who you are
You have hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems. Your troubleshooting skills are well-honed, allowing you to identify and maintain I/O and network components effectively. You are familiar with modifying motor controls, including motor starters and Variable Frequency Drives, and have a solid understanding of standard electrical components. Knowledge of sortation systems and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) is a plus. You are dedicated to supporting production in a safe and customer-focused manner, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take care of overall facility engineering and controls activities, performing daily, weekly, and monthly technical checks as per the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule. You will attend technical calls for corrective maintenance and coordinate with vendors for systems under warranty or Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC). Your responsibilities will include energy consumption readings, maintenance of diesel generators, and troubleshooting all conveyor systems, both electrical and mechanical. You will also be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods. Additionally, you will handle relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally.
