What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the hands-on troubleshooting and operation of critical infrastructure equipment. This includes performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs on systems such as switchboards, PDUs, and cooling equipment. You will work closely with a team of engineers to monitor system performance and respond to any operational issues that arise, ensuring that AWS data centers maintain optimal functionality.
You will provide 24/7 shift coverage, which may involve working 12-hour shifts and rotating schedules. Your role will require you to be proactive in identifying potential issues before they escalate, contributing to a culture of safety and reliability. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and improve operational processes, making a direct impact on the efficiency of AWS infrastructure services.
