You are a collaborative electrical maintenance professional with a strong background in operating and maintaining critical infrastructure. You understand the importance of safety and security in a data center environment and are committed to delivering the highest standards for operational excellence. You thrive in a team setting, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers to ensure the seamless operation of AWS data centers. Your technical expertise allows you to serve as a vital resource for troubleshooting and maintaining essential equipment.

You have experience with electrical, mechanical, and emergency generator systems, and you are familiar with fire and life safety equipment. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills enable you to address challenges effectively, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You are eager to contribute to a diverse team and are open to learning from others while sharing your knowledge and insights.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the on-site maintenance and operation of all electrical and mechanical systems within the AWS data center. This includes monitoring and maintaining emergency generators, power distribution, and cooling systems to ensure continuous operation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any operational issues and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and safety.

You will conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on critical equipment, documenting your findings and actions taken. Your role will involve responding to alarms and system alerts, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with other technicians and engineers to resolve problems swiftly. You will also participate in safety drills and training sessions to ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices.
