Job Description
Who you are
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you understand the intricacies of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure and are committed to ensuring seamless operations. Your hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, UPSs, and generators, makes you a valuable asset to our team. You thrive in environments where you can apply your technical skills to solve complex problems and ensure the reliability of critical systems.
You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to maintenance — you recognize the importance of preventative measures and are skilled at identifying potential issues before they escalate. What you'll do
As an Engineering Technician at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of our data center operations. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will work with stand-by diesel generators, switch gear, and cooling systems, among other critical components, to maintain our extraordinary uptime of 99.999%. Your hands-on expertise will be essential in executing preventative maintenance and responding to any operational issues that arise.
You will collaborate closely with a team of software, hardware, and network engineers to support the overall infrastructure of AWS data centers. This collaboration will involve participating in cross-functional meetings, sharing insights, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our operational processes. You will also have the opportunity to engage in training and development programs to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of emerging technologies in the field.
