Who you are
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your experience includes working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment, ensuring that mission-critical facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
You have a keen understanding of data center operations and the importance of maintaining uptime — your attention to detail and problem-solving skills enable you to quickly identify and resolve issues. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to a team that supports global digital experiences.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within our data centers — this includes stand-by diesel generators, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling systems. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers to ensure that all equipment operates at peak performance, contributing to our goal of 99.999% uptime.
You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on critical infrastructure, documenting your findings and actions to ensure compliance with operational standards. Your role will also involve collaborating with other technicians and engineers to address any operational challenges that arise, providing support for both electrical and mechanical systems.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reliability — your insights and suggestions will be valued as we strive to enhance our data center capabilities.
