Job Description
Who you are
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your experience includes working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling systems, ensuring that mission-critical facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
You have a keen understanding of data center operations and the importance of maintaining uptime — your attention to detail and problem-solving skills enable you to quickly identify and resolve issues. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to a team that supports global digital experiences.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within the data center — this includes stand-by diesel generators, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling systems. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to ensure that all equipment operates at peak performance, contributing to the overall reliability of AWS infrastructure.
You will play a critical role in monitoring systems and responding to alarms, ensuring that any potential issues are addressed promptly. Your hands-on experience will be invaluable as you work to maintain the high standards of uptime that AWS is known for. You will also participate in routine maintenance and inspections, helping to prevent downtime and ensure the longevity of equipment.
