Who you are

You are a highly motivated individual with a strong foundation in IT support and data center operations. You have experience managing incident tickets and prioritizing tasks effectively, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly. Your troubleshooting skills are top-notch, especially when it comes to diagnosing hardware and network problems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal supervision. You understand the importance of adhering to security best practices in a data center setting and are committed to maintaining high standards of operational excellence.

You possess a solid understanding of server hardware and networking components, allowing you to perform repairs and replacements as needed. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members and coordinate with management ensures that all operations run smoothly. You are comfortable working in a 24x7 environment and are willing to take on non-standard hours to meet the demands of the job.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for resolving hardware and technical issues within the data center. You will manage and fulfill SLAs for assigned tickets, ensuring that all incidents are addressed in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include performing regular hardware repairs on servers, such as replacing disks and motherboards, as well as addressing routine network and operating system issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete routine tasks and ensure that all operations align with best practices.

You will also be responsible for the daily management of server incidents, network equipment, and cabling, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Your role will involve providing remote support to other data centers in the region when necessary, showcasing your ability to adapt to various challenges. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and performance of the data center, contributing to the overall success of Amazon Web Services.
