Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce and possess advanced knowledge of Excel. With over 3 years of experience in finance operations, accounts payable, or accounts receivable, you are adept at managing financial data and ensuring accuracy in cash applications. Your strong analytical skills enable you to reconcile large amounts of data effectively, and you have a proven track record of communicating results to management clearly and concisely.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with various internal departments to apply payments in a timely manner. Your attention to detail helps you research and resolve issues related to missing or unidentified funds, ensuring that cash adjustments are communicated effectively. You are committed to reducing un-applied cash receipts on aged accounts receivable, demonstrating your dedication to improving financial processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for posting payments from various sources, including lockbox, ACH, and wire transfers, to customer accounts. You will manage the cash application process, ensuring that all payments are applied accurately and promptly. Your responsibilities will include reconciling payments and communicating any cash adjustments necessary to maintain accurate financial records.
You will analyze reports and large datasets to identify discrepancies and work towards resolving them. Collaborating with internal teams will be essential as you strive to apply payments efficiently and reduce aged accounts receivable. Your ability to communicate findings and results to management will play a crucial role in driving improvements in the cash application process.
