Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience in finance operations or shared services, specifically in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger roles. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree in accounting or commerce, which has equipped you with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices. You possess advanced knowledge of Excel and are proficient in using Microsoft Office products to analyze and present data effectively. Your communication skills enable you to convey complex financial information clearly to management and collaborate with various internal departments.
You have a keen eye for detail and are adept at reconciling large amounts of data, ensuring accuracy in cash applications and adjustments. Your experience includes researching missing, unidentified, and rejected funds, which has honed your problem-solving skills. Knowledge of India indirect tax law is an added advantage, allowing you to navigate financial regulations effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to reducing un-applied cash receipts on aged accounts receivable.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for posting payments from various sources, including lockbox, ACH, and wire transfers, to customer accounts. You will manage cash applications and reconcile payments, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Your responsibilities will include communicating cash adjustments and collaborating with internal departments to resolve any discrepancies. You will analyze reports and reconcile large amounts of data, providing insights and results to management.
You will work closely with the Global Accounts Receivable team to streamline processes and improve cash application efficiency. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying trends and areas for improvement within the cash application process. You will also be involved in training and mentoring junior team members, sharing your expertise in finance operations and best practices. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the overall financial health of the organization.
