Job Description
Who you are
You have 2+ years of experience in hardware design and validation, particularly with components, subsystems, and systems. Your background includes working on RF circuitry and antenna systems, showcasing your ability to design and optimize complex hardware solutions. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly with RF engineers, to ensure the successful development of innovative products. Your experience includes leading PCB layout reviews and contributing to the design of proof-of-concept systems and prototypes. You have a strong understanding of automated testing processes and are skilled in bringing up and testing active antennas. You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to export control requirements.
What you'll do
As a Hardware Development Engineer at Amazon, you will be part of a team dedicated to developing advanced antenna systems for the Amazon Leo satellite network. You will own the design and optimization of various blocks of the antenna system, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards. Your role will involve designing proof-of-concept systems and prototypes for next-generation antennas, collaborating closely with the RF team to design RF circuitry. You will also be responsible for creating automated test systems and test fixtures, leading the bring-up and testing campaigns of active antennas. Additionally, you will review PCB layouts to ensure they align with design specifications and contribute to the overall success of the hardware development process. Your work will directly impact the delivery of fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers in underserved areas.
