You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning and software development, particularly in optimizing deep learning models for performance. Your expertise in AWS and familiarity with custom hardware accelerators like Inferentia and Trainium set you apart. You are proficient in frameworks such as PyTorch and JAX, and you understand the intricacies of integrating software with hardware for optimal performance.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and can innovate new methods to enhance machine learning workloads. Your background includes working across the stack, from model development to hardware-software integration, ensuring that every compute unit is fine-tuned for demanding workloads. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of AI acceleration.

What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Amazon, you will be part of the Annapurna Labs team, focusing on the AWS Neuron SDK. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and optimize the SDK to accelerate deep learning and GenAI workloads on Amazon's custom ML accelerators. You will work closely with engineers across multiple technology layers, from frameworks and kernels to compilers and runtime systems, ensuring seamless integration and high performance.

You will innovate and create high-performance kernels for machine learning functions, contributing to the future architecture designs of the AWS Neuron SDK. Your role will involve collaborating with customers to enable their models and maximize performance, ensuring that the solutions you develop meet their demanding requirements. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
