You have a strong background in software development, particularly in the context of AI and machine learning. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with hardware and software teams to push the boundaries of AI acceleration. Desirable
Experience with GenAI technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with custom machine learning accelerators. You may have contributed to open-source projects or have a portfolio showcasing your work in AI and machine learning. A background in compiler design or runtime systems would also be beneficial, as it aligns with the responsibilities of this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of the Annapurna Labs team at AWS, focusing on the development of the AWS Neuron SDK. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the performance of deep learning and GenAI workloads on Amazon's custom ML accelerators, Inferentia and Trainium. You will work across the stack, from the ML compiler to the hardware-software boundary, ensuring that every compute unit is optimized for performance. You will collaborate with other engineers to innovate new methods and create high-performance kernels for ML functions. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of machine learning applications running on AWS. You will also engage with customers to understand their needs and help enable their models on AWS infrastructure.
