Who you are

You have formal trade qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Engineering, and possess a current electrical trade license. You understand the importance of health and safety standards in a warehouse environment and have experience with planned preventative maintenance systems. Your ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings is essential for diagnosing and repairing equipment faults effectively. You have hands-on experience with material handling equipment and automation systems, including conveyor maintenance and motor controllers.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working night shifts. Your proactive approach to maintenance ensures that you can respond quickly to breakdowns and implement long-term solutions to minimize future downtime. You are a team player who values collaboration and communication, ensuring that all maintenance activities align with operational goals.

What you'll do

As a Maintenance Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for completing proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment. You will diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve using specialized tools to maximize equipment effectiveness and implementing long-term improvements to reduce downtime. You will follow and promote health and safety standards, contributing to a safe working environment for all team members.

You will work closely with the Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out effectively. Your responsibilities will include responding to breakdowns, performing regular inspections, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. You will also have the opportunity to suggest improvements to maintenance processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the site.
