Who you are
You have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, with experience in production process development and improvement. Your expertise in systems design allows you to effectively partner with development teams to create high-performing modules for spacecraft. You are adept at solving complex technical problems and have a keen understanding of balancing production velocity with quality and cost efficiency.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to serve as a key connection between design, factory operations, and program management. Your ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers is essential as you drive the manufacturing processes from initial production introduction to full-rate production. You are committed to ensuring smooth technical execution of current production operations while continuously seeking improvements.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the production development for a key module in Amazon Leo's satellite network. You will be responsible for the introduction, improvement, and maintenance of the production processes, ensuring that they meet the high standards required for space applications. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including design and quality engineering, to address and solve challenging technical problems.
You will leverage your systems design expertise to influence the design of future iterations of the system and its sub-assemblies. As a manufacturing engineer, you will also be involved in developing production test systems and tooling, ensuring that all processes are optimized for efficiency and quality. Your contributions will be critical in delivering an ultra-high-performing optical, electrical, and mechatronic module to space, impacting the connectivity solutions provided by Amazon Leo.
