Overview

Amazon is seeking a Refrigeration Engineer to support grocery expansion across North America. You'll provide field support for refrigeration sites and manage complex projects. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a background in engineering with a focus on refrigeration systems, ideally with experience in maintenance and repair operations. You are skilled in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and have a proven ability to influence and develop relationships at all organizational levels. Your experience includes overseeing the maintenance acceptance of large-scale projects and providing leadership to facilities maintenance teams. You are comfortable with regional travel and have a flexible approach to work, adapting to the needs of the business.

Desirable

Experience in the grocery or food service industry is a plus, as is familiarity with food safety standards and practices. You may also have a background in sustainability initiatives, contributing to the overall goals of the organization. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will provide field support for refrigeration sites across your assigned geography, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will manage relationships with vendors and oversee maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Your responsibilities will include leading complex projects, mentoring facilities maintenance leadership, and participating in design reviews for new projects across North America. You will be expected to travel up to 50% of the time, working from a corporate office when not on the road. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding teams through the commissioning of new refrigeration systems and ensuring that all operations meet Amazon's high standards for customer service.
