Who you are
You have a strong background in technical support, particularly with computer and electronic hardware, and are comfortable working with operating systems and software used in transportation management. Your ability to troubleshoot and solve problems without defined SOPs sets you apart, as you can adapt to various situations to achieve the best outcomes. You are detail-oriented and capable of managing technical tickets within SLA timelines, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
You possess a comprehensive understanding of PC configurations and how automation devices connect to these systems. This knowledge allows you to isolate root causes of issues through iterative testing and analysis. You are proactive in conducting daily health checks across sites and are skilled at monitoring equipment performance metrics to detect faults early. Your organizational skills enable you to manage inventory effectively, keeping track of equipment and raising orders as needed.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving technical tickets, ensuring that all issues are addressed within the specified SLA timelines. You will gain a deep understanding of Gatehouse PC configurations and the connections of automation devices, allowing you to troubleshoot effectively. You will also coordinate with various teams, including Procurement and Operations, to ensure smooth operations within the transportation network.
Your daily tasks will include conducting health checks across all sites, performing fault detection, and monitoring equipment performance metrics. You will be expected to maintain an organized inventory of automation equipment and manage the logging of items checked out. Your role will require you to adapt standard practices when necessary to achieve desired results, showcasing your problem-solving abilities and technical expertise.
