Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in technical support, particularly with computer and electronic hardware, and are comfortable troubleshooting various operating systems, including Linux and Windows. Your ability to manage technical tickets efficiently within SLA timelines showcases your organizational skills and attention to detail. You understand the importance of maintaining high-quality support and are adept at isolating root causes through iterative testing and problem-solving.

You possess a comprehensive understanding of Gatehouse PC configurations and how automation devices connect to these systems. This knowledge allows you to effectively manage and resolve issues that arise in TOM managed yards. Your experience in coordinating with various teams, such as TIE Procurement and RME, demonstrates your collaborative nature and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

What you'll do

As a TOM Technician, you will be responsible for managing and resolving technical tickets, ensuring that all issues are addressed within the specified SLA timelines. You will conduct daily health checks across all RRG sites, performing early fault detection to maintain optimal equipment performance. Your role will involve monitoring equipment performance metrics and managing the inventory of all GH automation equipment, ensuring that logs are kept up to date and that fresh orders are raised as needed.

You will utilize your specialized skills to implement technical solutions and provide high-quality support for the hardware and software used in TOM managed yards. Your ability to determine when to deviate from standard practices will be crucial in achieving the desired results. You will also be expected to collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless operations and effective problem resolution.
