Who you are
You are a motivated and customer-focused individual with experience in managing teams in a fast-paced environment. You understand the importance of safety, quality, and performance in operations and are dedicated to maintaining high standards. You have a proven track record of supporting and mentoring hourly workforce, ensuring they are engaged and productive during their shifts. You are physically capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and can stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts, adapting to variable temperatures and noise levels in the workplace.
What you'll do
As an Area Manager II at Amazon, you will lead a team of hourly associates, focusing on their engagement and performance. You will manage key operational metrics including safety, quality, and productivity, ensuring that customer delivery promises are met. You will collaborate with various support teams such as Safety, Engineering, and Human Resources to develop plans that align with business objectives. Your role will involve continuous improvement of workflows, ensuring that the first, middle, and last mile processes are executed efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and high performance.
