Who you are
You have a strong background in security operations, with experience in managing physical security measures across multiple facilities. Your attention to detail allows you to identify security gaps and implement effective solutions swiftly. You are comfortable interfacing with vendors and managing security construction and repairs, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and securely.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to write reports and create presentations that effectively convey the status of security operations to management. Your analytical mindset helps you extract metrics and observe improvements, driving data-informed decisions in security processes.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Security Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations of several AWS facilities. Your role will involve conducting regular assessments to identify physical security gaps and implementing immediate corrective actions. You will direct vendors involved in security construction and daily operations, ensuring that all security measures are up to standard.
You will also be tasked with educating data center occupants on security protocols and false alarm reduction strategies. Your ability to analyze data will be crucial in making suggestions for improving electronic surveillance and access controls. You will write and implement security processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with AWS standards.
