Who you are
You have a strong background in security operations, particularly in data centers, and possess exceptional knowledge of security practices. Your leadership skills are resilient, allowing you to adapt to a dynamic environment while ensuring the safety and security of critical infrastructure. You communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, which helps you articulate security policies and procedures clearly to your team and stakeholders.
You are experienced in managing physical security operations, developing post orders, and defining security procedures. Your hands-on experience with security equipment and incident handling makes you a valuable asset in maintaining a secure environment. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with construction teams and vendors to drive improvements in security processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the physical security operations of AWS data centers. This includes developing and implementing security policies and procedures, ensuring consistent deployment across all sites. You will participate in site audits and reviews, testing new security technologies to enhance the overall security posture. Your role will also involve handling site incidents and collaborating with various teams to ensure a seamless integration of security measures into ongoing operations.
You will drive day-to-day process improvement activities, working closely with vendors to ensure that all security measures are effective and up to date. Your ability to adapt to changing circumstances will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of data center security. You will also play a key role in training and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance within the organization.
