Overview
Amazon is hiring a Technical Program Manager for the BR Supply Chain & Integration team to manage technology programs and deliver product improvements. You'll work with AWS and require strong technical and communication skills.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a solid background in program management with experience managing small to medium-sized technology programs — you've successfully delivered improvements to products while meeting program goals independently. Your technical understanding allows you to partner effectively with technical managers to secure resources and set priorities, ensuring that projects stay on track and within scope.
You possess strong execution capabilities and can drive crisp and timely decisions to accelerate progress — your ability to clear blockers and escalate issues appropriately is key to maintaining momentum in cross-functional projects. You understand the larger business picture and can deeply comprehend the technical requirements of the solutions being built, preventing or mitigating the consequences of poor technology decisions.
Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to transform raw thoughts into clear, consistent, and accurate technical documentation — you own program communication across stakeholders and can effectively represent your team's systems to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are adept at writing PR/FAQs and supporting planning efforts, ensuring that all documentation is thorough and accessible.
You are committed to continuous improvement and apply process improvement methodologies to enhance team processes and metrics — your proactive approach helps identify areas for enhancement and drives the team towards achieving the best results for customers.
What you'll do
In this role, you will manage difficult and cross-functional technology projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the program are executed effectively. You will partner with technical managers to scope engineering efforts and set priorities, driving the team towards successful outcomes. Your technical leadership will be crucial in recognizing when proposed designs are too complex or risky, allowing you to guide the team towards more effective solutions.
You will be responsible for owning program communication across stakeholders, transforming complex ideas into clear documentation that supports decision-making and planning efforts. Your ability to build consensus and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving project success.
You will also focus on improving team processes and metrics, applying process improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Your role will involve continuous collaboration with various teams to ensure alignment and progress towards shared goals.
What we offer
At Amazon, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will have the chance to work on impactful projects that directly contribute to improving our supply chain and integration processes, ultimately enhancing the experience for our customers. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
