Job Description
Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in workplace health and safety management, particularly in logistics or similar industries. Your background includes developing and implementing safety plans that address unique WHS situations, such as emergency responses and ergonomic assessments. You are skilled in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions to mitigate identified hazards. You possess strong leadership abilities, guiding teams to adhere to safety policies and procedures effectively. Your experience includes collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance safety standards across multiple sites. You are familiar with compliance requirements and can identify gaps in existing safety policies and practices.
What you'll do
As a WHS Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for creating and executing safety plans tailored to specific operational challenges. You will ensure that all Amazon WHS policies are adhered to and provide guidance and supervision to maintain compliance. Your role will involve collecting and analyzing accident and hazard information to develop preventive measures and corrective actions. You will conduct audits and training sessions to ensure that all associates are knowledgeable about safety protocols. Additionally, you will review the effectiveness of safety tools and programs, making necessary adjustments to promote continuous improvement in safety practices. You will work closely with site leaders and associates to elevate the overall safety level within the UTR operations.
