Who you are
You have a strong background in workplace health and safety, demonstrating the ability to partner effectively with site operations teams to execute safety policies and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations. Your expertise in safety programs, environmental standards, and ergonomic practices is essential in creating a safe working environment for associates. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey clear and concise messages to various stakeholders, including Operations Leaders and safety team members.
You are adept at conducting comprehensive risk assessments and analyzing safety data to identify areas for improvement. Your experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and kaizens showcases your commitment to reducing risks and enhancing safety standards. You are a trusted advisor to the Operations Team, influencing change through your knowledge and expertise in safety practices.
What you'll do
As a WHS Officer at Amazon, you will be responsible for executing company safety policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. You will lead a team of safety specialists and coordinators, providing guidance and training to ensure that safety standards are incorporated into daily operations. Your role will involve identifying best practices and integrating them into company safety policies to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
You will collaborate closely with the site operations team to conduct risk assessments and analyze safety data, using your findings to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team will be crucial as you work to influence change and promote a safe working environment. You will also be responsible for creating and executing leadership development plans for your safety associates, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
