Who you are

You have a strong background in network engineering with experience in deploying and maintaining complex network solutions in enterprise environments. Your expertise includes troubleshooting and resolving routing, interconnectivity, and performance issues, ensuring robust network operations that support critical activities. You are familiar with change control processes and have developed operational procedures and technical documentation to enhance network performance.

You possess a deep understanding of network infrastructure and security, with a focus on high availability and performance optimization. Your experience includes leading capacity planning initiatives and managing monitoring and alerting systems to ensure seamless operations across multiple global locations. You are a U.S. Citizen, complying with government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communications or broadband networks is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud-based network solutions. You are comfortable working in fast-paced environments and have a collaborative mindset, ready to engage with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

What you'll do

As a Network Development Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will lead the implementation and optimization of mission-critical enterprise networks that support manufacturing facilities, research labs, launch sites, and mission operations centers worldwide. Your role will involve deploying and maintaining complex network solutions, ensuring that network operations are robust and reliable to support launch and mission activities.

You will troubleshoot and resolve complex routing and performance issues, implementing and managing change control processes for network modifications. Your responsibilities will also include developing and maintaining operational procedures and technical documentation to enhance network performance and reliability.

In addition, you will lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives, ensuring that the network infrastructure can handle the demands of Amazon Leo's satellite broadband network. You will enhance and manage monitoring and alerting systems to proactively address any potential issues before they impact operations.

Amazon offers a competitive salary range of $136,000 to $184,000 annually for this position, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
