Who you are
You are a motivated and customer-focused individual with experience in managing teams. You understand the importance of safety, quality, and performance in an operational environment. You have the ability to engage and mentor your team effectively, ensuring they meet the highest standards during their shifts. You are physically capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and can stand or walk for extended periods, adapting to variable environments.
Desirable
Experience in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus, as is familiarity with safety protocols and quality assurance processes. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable collaborating with various support teams to achieve business objectives.
What you'll do
As an Area Manager II at Amazon, you will lead a team of hourly workers, motivating them to maintain high levels of safety and productivity. You will manage the workflow across the first, middle, and last miles of operations, ensuring that customer orders are delivered accurately and on time. You will collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet operational goals. Your role will involve continuous engagement with your team, providing mentorship and support to enhance their performance.
You will be responsible for monitoring safety and quality metrics, addressing any issues that arise during shifts, and implementing strategies to improve overall performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining customer expectations, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled correctly and efficiently. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment where team members feel valued and motivated.
