Overview

Amazon is seeking a Channel Team Lead for their Last Mile Operations in Chennai. You'll be responsible for managing account acquisition, performance management, and operational planning. This role requires strong leadership and operational skills.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in operations management, ideally within a logistics or transportation environment. Your experience includes leading teams and driving performance metrics to achieve operational excellence. You are self-driven and possess exceptional communication skills, enabling you to effectively manage relationships with channel partners and internal teams.

You understand the importance of customer-centric operations and are passionate about delivering the best results for customers. Your analytical mindset allows you to identify growth opportunities and develop strategic account plans that align with business objectives. You are comfortable with field visits and have a hands-on approach to training and coaching team members on operational processes and standards.

Desirable

Experience in the e-commerce or retail sector is a plus, as is familiarity with performance management systems and reporting tools. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.

What you'll do

As the Channel Team Lead, you will oversee the operations at our Delivery Center, focusing on account identification and acquisition. You will be responsible for market mapping and onboarding new retail stores, ensuring they align with Amazon's operational standards. Your role will involve regular field visits to monitor performance and build relationships with channel partners.

You will support the DC manager in performance management, helping to drive the operational plan and achieve defined goals. This includes maintaining routine reporting on store performance and providing actionable insights to improve business outcomes. You will also deliver training and coaching to ensure that all team members are well-versed in Amazon's processes and operating models.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with various teams to enable network growth and support new product launches. Your ability to communicate effectively and build rapport will be essential in driving the success of the channel partners and enhancing their business with Amazon.
