Job Description
Who you are
You have 1-3 years of experience in operations management, ideally within a fulfillment or warehouse environment. You understand the importance of safety and quality in operations and are committed to creating a safe work environment for all associates. You possess strong leadership skills and can effectively manage a team to achieve productivity goals. You are proactive in identifying areas for process improvement and have experience using Lean methodologies to drive efficiency.
You are a collaborative partner, working closely with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure that shifts are efficient and meet overall building objectives. You have a keen eye for detail and can analyze work forecasts to determine productivity requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively with your team and other stakeholders is essential to your success in this role.
What you'll do
As an Area Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of your department within the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring they are properly trained and supported to meet their goals. You will review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet the overall objectives of the building. Your focus will be on safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity, ensuring that all associates adhere to safety programs and OSHA compliance.
You will proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools, driving efficiency and effectiveness in your operations. You will partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure that shifts are operating smoothly. Your role will require you to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions that enhance the performance of your department.
