Overview

Amazon is hiring a Last Mile Team Leader to manage end-to-end operations for delivery services. You'll be responsible for training and motivating team members while ensuring compliance with Amazon policies. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in operations management.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in operations management, with experience in leading teams and ensuring high performance. You understand the importance of training and development, and you are committed to addressing the needs of your team members so they can focus on their jobs. You are adept at implementing policies fairly and consistently, and you have experience in performance management, including addressing discipline and performance issues.

You possess strong communication and motivational skills, enabling you to effectively coach and provide feedback to your associates. You are familiar with working in partnership with third-party delivery providers and understand the importance of meeting service contracts and maintaining Amazon's high standards. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are dedicated to achieving or exceeding expectations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage daily operations for either one large site or a combination of smaller sites, executing inbound and outbound operations efficiently. You will be responsible for meeting customer-facing metrics while maintaining cost targets and ensuring the safety and morale of your team. You will drive performance management of your team members, preparing and implementing training and development plans to achieve the best results for customers.

You will work closely with your team to motivate them and ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles. You will also be responsible for reporting on performance metrics and addressing any issues that arise, including potential disciplinary actions. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment that aligns with Amazon's customer-centric mission.
